Classic Compost

Fine- to medium-textured, mature Compost with generous amounts of composted fines, and minimal woody content. Classic Compost is processed through a 1/2" screen to ensure product uniformity.

Primary Uses: An excellent soil conditioner and amendment product! Classic Compost is used for topping-up and blending into gardens. It is also used in our various soil blends to further enhance the properties of our carefully sourced topsoil. In commercial applications, Compost is used for terraseeding.

Premium Compost

Fine-textured, mature Compost with generous amounts of composted fines, and minimal woody content. Premium Compost is processed through a 1/4" screen to ensure product uniformity.

Primary Uses: An excellent soil conditioner and amendment product! Premium Compost is used for topping-up and blending into gardens. It is also used in our various soil blends to further enhance the properties of our carefully-sourced topsoil. In commercial applications, Compost is used for terraseeding.

Bark Compost Fines

As the name suggests, this fine-textured compost product is produced by screening naturally-decomposed bark mulches through a 3/8" screen. This compost has an acidic pH and dark brown to black colour.

Primary Uses: Since Bark Compost Fines have an acidic pH, high organic matter, and low nutrient content, this product is ideal for modifying and complimenting compost and topdressing soil blends, as well as decreasing soil pH to improve nutrient availability. Bark Compost Fines can also be used independently as a mulch to maintain soil moisture and suppress weed growth.

Screened Peat Loam

Peat Loam that has been processed through a 1/2" screen. Clean, uniform-textured, and lightweight, much of the large clumps, roots, rocks and foreign content have been removed.

Primary Uses: Used as a soil amendment for producing soil blends, topdressing lawns, and "topping up" (replenishing) flower beds and vegetable gardens. Its characteristic dark colour aesthetically enhances landscapes.

Screened Mushroom Compost

Fine to medium texture. Mushroom Compost that is processed through a 1/2" screen to remove any large clumps and foreign material greater than the screen size.

Primary Uses: As a screened product, it is used as a soil conditioner in new and existing garden beds and in the production of soil blends. Screened mushroom compost has also been used successfully in topdressing lawns, in small quantities, and using plenty of water. It has also been used as an organic matter source for making compost blends. Because mushroom compost acts like a strong fertilizer, care needs to be taken when being utilized in any application to ensure optimum performance.
